PermitPro is a study app for the learner's permit knowledge test, operated by Jason Psanis. This page describes what the app collects, who processes it, and how to delete it.
What we collect
Name and email from Sign in with Apple. When you sign in, Apple provides your name and email address. The email may be an Apple private relay address.
State, test-date timeline, and onboarding answers. You pick your state in the app. We also store the test-date timeline and the answers you give during onboarding.
Study data in Supabase. Quiz answers, scores, progress, bookmarks, and badges are stored in Supabase so they can sync across devices.
Subscription status. RevenueCat processes whether a subscription is active. PermitPro+ is $5.99 per week and PermitPro Welcome Back is $2.99 per week. Apple processes the payment. We do not receive your full card number. Apple keeps its own purchase records. This website does not take payment.
Usage analytics. PostHog processes how the app is used.
Crash and diagnostic data. Sentry processes crash and diagnostic reports. Apple does as well.
Basic device information. We collect the device model and operating-system version.
Identifiers. The service providers below use device and app identifiers to run sign-in, storage, subscriptions, analytics, and crash reporting.
What we don't do
We do not sell your data to anyone.
We do not show third-party ads, and the app does not include ad SDKs.
We do not collect precise location. There is no GPS collection. You choose your state manually.
We do not collect your street address, phone number, or license or permit number. We do not ask for your age or birthdate.
Service providers
- Supabase — database and authentication
- RevenueCat — subscriptions
- PostHog — analytics
- Sentry — crash reporting
- Apple — sign-in and payments
They process the information described above to operate PermitPro. We do not sell that information.
How we use it
To run PermitPro: sign you in, store and sync your study data, keep a subscription active, understand which parts of the product are used, and fix crashes. Deleting the app removes PermitPro from that device. It does not, by itself, delete the Supabase account.
Children
PermitPro is not directed to children under 13. It is intended for users 13 and older. We do not collect age or birthdate, and the app has no age gate.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child under 13 has used the app, email [email protected] and ask us to delete that information. The steps are on the account deletion page. We respond within 3 business days.
Deleting your account and data
In the app, open Profile and tap Delete Account. That deletes your Supabase account and the quiz answers, scores, progress, bookmarks, and badges stored there, along with the state, test-date timeline, and onboarding answers held for the account. On that device, the app also resets the RevenueCat and PostHog identities.
You can email [email protected] instead. We respond within 3 business days. Jason Psanis then deletes the Supabase user, the RevenueCat customer record, and the PostHog person data within 30 days. Step-by-step instructions are on the account deletion page.
Apple keeps its own purchase records after the account is deleted. Deleting the account does not cancel PermitPro+ or Welcome Back. Cancel a subscription in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle data, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
